WoofChef (“WoofChef,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates woofchef.app and is responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy.
WoofChef provides tools for analyzing homemade dog-food recipes and creating starter recipes. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Account and authentication information
You can use many WoofChef features without creating an account. An account is required when you choose to save certain information.
If you sign in with Google, Google may provide WoofChef with your:
- Verified email address
- Name
- Profile picture
- Unique Google account identifier
WoofChef does not receive your Google password.
If you sign in using an email verification code, we collect your email address to authenticate and maintain your account.
Recipe and dog information
When you create or save a recipe, we may collect information you provide, including:
- Recipe titles
- Ingredients, amounts, and preparation details
- Dog weight
- Recipe duration and calculation settings
- Saved nutrition-analysis results
- Guided-recipe selections and generated recipe information
Please do not enter confidential personal information into recipe titles or other recipe fields.
Contact information
If you contact WoofChef, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, and message.
Usage and technical information
WoofChef and its service providers may collect technical and usage information such as:
- Pages viewed and product features used
- Browser, device, and operating-system information
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Referral information
- Cookies or similar identifiers
- Authentication, error, security, and server logs
How we use information
We use information to:
- Authenticate users and maintain accounts
- Save, load, and manage recipes
- Provide nutrition calculations and guided-recipe features
- Respond to questions and support requests
- Protect WoofChef against abuse, fraud, and security threats

We may use aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual to understand product usage and improve WoofChef.
Google Sign-In data
WoofChef uses information received through Google Sign-In to authenticate you, create or connect your WoofChef account, provide account-related features, and communicate with you as described in this policy.
WoofChef does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendars, or other Google content.
WoofChef does not sell or rent Google user data or provide it to advertisers or data brokers.
WoofChef's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
You can revoke WoofChef's access through your Google Account permissions. Revoking Google access prevents future authentication through that connection but does not automatically delete information already stored in your WoofChef account.
How we share information
We use service providers to operate WoofChef, including:
- Supabase for authentication, account information, and saved-recipe storage
- Vercel for website hosting and delivery
- Google Analytics for website and product-usage analytics
- Resend for messages submitted through the contact form
These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to WoofChef and according to their applicable privacy and security terms.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process
- Protect the rights, safety, and security of WoofChef, its users, or others
- Detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Enforce applicable agreements
WoofChef does not sell or rent personal information.
Communications and marketing
We use your email address to provide authentication codes and necessary account, security, support, and service communications.
Where you have consented, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law, WoofChef may use the email address associated with your account to send product announcements, educational content, feature updates, and other marketing communications.
Marketing communications will provide a way to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent WoofChef from sending authentication, security, or other essential service messages.
WoofChef does not sell or rent email addresses, Google Sign-In information, or other personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Cookies and analytics
WoofChef uses Google Analytics and related technologies to understand page visits and product interactions. These technologies may use cookies or similar identifiers.
Your browser settings and privacy tools may allow you to restrict or remove cookies. Restricting cookies may affect some website functionality.
Data retention and deletion
Account information and saved recipes are retained while an account remains active or as reasonably necessary to provide WoofChef.
You can delete individual saved recipes through the product.
WoofChef does not currently provide a self-service account-deletion button. You may submit a privacy or deletion request through the WoofChef contact page. We will evaluate and respond to requests as required by applicable law.
Some information may be retained temporarily in backups or where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Aggregated or de-identified information that no longer reasonably identifies an individual may be retained.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No internet service, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
Depending on how you use WoofChef, you can:
- Use core recipe-analysis features without creating an account
- Choose email-code authentication instead of Google Sign-In
- Delete individual saved recipes
- Revoke Google access through your Google Account
- Unsubscribe from marketing communications
- Contact us with a privacy, access, correction, or deletion request
Additional privacy rights may apply depending on where you live.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when WoofChef's features, service providers, or data practices change.
When we make changes, we will update the effective date above and provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate or legally required.
